(1) The district has the following members in each district for the purpose of providing legal aid to indigent persons at the district level and preparing a list of legal practitioners who provide legal aid to indigent persons. The Legal Aid Committee will be formed:-

- (a) Associate Attorney of the Public Prosecutor's Office in the district where there is an appellate court or District Attorney in the districts where there is no such district attorney - Chairman

(b) Chairman of the higher unit among the units of the Bar Association in the district- Member

But in the case of Kathmandu District, the President of the District Bar Association will be a member. ) Among the units of the bar association in the district, the secretary of the higher unit - member - secretary

but in the case of Kathmandu district, the secretary of the district bar association will be the member secretary.

(2) Clause (c) of sub-section (1) The term of office of the following members will be three years.

(3) The other work, duties and rights of the district committee and the meeting procedure shall be as prescribed.
